About PayClear UK pay calculators
PayClear UK is a free set of calculators and plain-English guides for people who want to understand their UK pay: what an employer deducts, what a pay rise is really worth, and what a self-employed income leaves after tax.
Why we built it
Payslips are hard to read and most online calculators hide their assumptions. We show every rate, threshold and source we use, so you can check the arithmetic yourself rather than trust a single number.
How we keep figures accurate
Rates come from HMRC and the Scottish Government and are reviewed for each tax year. Read our calculation methodology and editorial policy.
